I have 2 problems with those rules:
1) Defenders running at full speed at a ball carrier must also be mind readers that they’re going to slide down.
2) if that’s ruled a dead ball PF (targeting) why doesn’t the offense get an automatic first down?

I guess cuz play is over at the start of the slide?

Um yes he did. We didn’t lose from a lack of offensive production. It was a defensive debacle.
