Charleston Gazette-Mail: TCU comes to Morgantown to face improving Mountaineers

The Texas Christian University men’s basketball team needed a win perhaps more or at least as much as any team in the country.
The Horned Frogs had lost three consecutive games prior to their game against visiting Iowa State, ranked No. 19 at the time. TCU’s hopes for an at-large NCAA tournament bid were fading, but a 75-72 win against the Cyclones put the Frogs squarely back in the conversation regarding a trip to the NCAAs this postseason.
Next up for TCU [18-9, 6-8 Big 12] as it aims to distance itself from the dreaded NCAA “bubble” is a trip to Morgantown on Tuesday to take on West Virginia [7 p.m., ESPNU].
