Charleston Gazette-Mail: TCU’s Brandon Parrish sees his future in animal kingdom

FORT WORTH, Texas — There will be a number of future or at least aspiring pro players on the court Saturday when TCU plays host to No. 12 West Virginia. This is hardly new or news in the Big 12, where rosters from the top of the standings to the bottom have players who expect or hope to play in the NBA next year or beyond.

The Horned Frogs can get a grip on NCAA tournament hopes that have slipped away with a four-game losing streak in the 2 p.m. game on ESPN. They feature freshman point guard Jaylen Fisher, hailed as the top recruit in school history, plus the skilled 6-foot-11 Vlad Brodziansky, who has soared as a junior.

The Mountaineers (22-6, 10-5 Big 12) have hopefuls, forwards and guards who are good on offense or defense, players who chose the Big 12 and coach Bob Huggins so they could prepare and prove themselves. They have players Huggins often teases for being tired in a college season even though pros can play 100 or so games in a season.
