Charleston Gazette: Big 12 will be 'a bear' of a basketball league

MORGANTOWN - The Big 12's men's basketball coaches are a disparate bunch, from ultra-successful guys like Bill Self of Kansas and Rick Barnes of Texas to well-traveled Lon Kruger of Oklahoma and relative newcomer Fred Hoiberg of Iowa State.
They all agree on one thing, however. With the addition of West Virginia, as well as TCU, next season the Big 12 is, as Texas Tech's Billy Gillespie said, "a bear.''
"It makes our league only tougher,'' Kruger said.
The 10 league head coaches conducted a summer conference call Thursday and more than a few chimed in on both the league overall and how it differs with West Virginia and TCU replacing Missouri and Texas A&M. ...
