Media weren't the only ones on deadline Saturday night.

The Big 12 stepped up, big time. The college football world needed to know what was going on with the conference's tiebreakers. The office worked overtime in getting them out.

That beat the heck out of the Big Ten which took until last Tuesday to determine its best team, Oregon, had clinched a spot in the conference championship game.

The 16-team Big 12 has fallen into a four-way tie at the top between Arizona State, Colorado, BYU and Iowa State. If you have a problem with everybody in the league having at least two losses, you might want to first have a word with the SEC.

Bowl scenarios I’ve seen based on how things shake out:

- Rate Bowl vs Rutgers
- Armed Forces v Army (I’d rather we just skip this. What’s the point?)
- Liberty v Florida
- Texas vs LSU

Considering where we were not long ago I feel like we hit the lottery to even be in position for that to happen. Still not sold on SD but quite a turnaround no matter how you slice it.
I’m not sold at all. We had one of the easiest schedules in the Big12. Add UT and OU back and this game is all of a sudden for bowl eligibility.

We have a massive winning record over UT in recent history... Why are you using that to diss the team? Bring them on! We always play them well... Even when we are not good. Like last year. You're either a troll or just can't be happy.

Our OL is getting rebuilt and is starting to get a push for an offense that is cooking and a QB that will continue to grow up (I hope). We get that Defense fixed and we'll be off to the races.

Some say Liberty against Ark or LSU. Some say Texas. But so much gets done by deals with a school’s AD. It’s mostly a marketing pick. It’s a bit of a guess right now.

I'd love to be a “reporter” these days where I could post something that has no real sourcing and get away with it.
