curious, simply because a state passes a law doesn't mean athletes are no longer bound to follow ncaa guidelines.

a number of states now allow for the use of marijuana, but the ncaa still tests for marijuana usage at their championship events.

i am not a fan of the ncaa, but i am not sure this law will have the intended benefits the sponsors purport.

California will pass this then all the stud players will go there for the money. PAC12 champ will be the defacto national champion. The remaining 4 power conferences will continue their 4 team playoff to be renamed the National Invitational Tournament (NIT).

More likely that the PAC gets Alabama, LSU, tOSU, Notre Dame, etc to tell the NCAA to screw off and form their own league that allows pay and sells to the highest bidder for $100mm+ per team to cover payments and make even more money
