How good are these guys? I especially enjoyed how they set Ole Miss up for that second play of the game.
Nope, not with the first play of the game, but with a play they ran 3 freaking weeks ago. In the Iowa state game when we ran the wr double pass, they did not use a running back. Yesterday, they motion 43 out if the backfield and it takes attention away from 22 still sitting back there. After the initial pass to 7, you can see the pursuit hesitate. Ole Miss player #10 throws on the brakes as he approaches 7 and takes a step to his left trying to cover the pass back to Boykin. Meanwhile Green streaks down the middle of the field unnoticed. The defensive backs do not immediately flip their hips to run after Green because they hesitate and consider the pass back to Boykin. Before they realize Boykin didn't even run a route it is too late.
