Even factoring in age, Stoops would run circles around the candidates currently served up!If he was 5 years younger I think it wouldn’t be that far fetched of an idea.
Nick Saban just turned 70!If he was 5 years younger I think it wouldn’t be that far fetched of an idea.
Bob old, not going that direction I hope.No doubt, he is the man for the job! He is fully known and vetted!
Kind of like when Billy Tubbs came to TCU from OU!
TCU must make a splash hire backed with proven results. That's Bob Stoops!
People thinking Jeff Traylor are thinking too small!
You can't deny this. He could spend five years making a healthy program to hand off to a younger guy. We don't need a 20-year hire right now, we need a guaranteed turnaround.Even factoring in age, Stoops would run circles around the candidates currently served up!
FIFY!!
Bob is still in love with OU. If you watch his Fox morning show, he’s all OU all the time. He isn’t coming to TCU. He wouldn’t know how to coach at a small private school.
Stoops brought in DGB and allowed Mixon to hang around. And there were more issues as well. Hard pass on his sorry ass character but I’m good with the idea of a turn-around specialist.
Kellen Moore. Young and offensive minded
Point being, TCU offers a special set of challenges that Stoops spent a career not having to deal with at a big state school. He wouldn’t know how to handle them here. He'd only have to face them one year so that shouldn't be an issue. Whether or not Bob wants to coach is the issue. Fwiw, I'm pretty sure he used to own a house in DFW.
Yep.
