I think he's a shoe in for national coach of the year regardless what happens Saturday. Who is the main competition? Huepel? Riley? Fritz at Tulane?

I’d think the awards get split among Riley (if USC wins tomorrow), Fritz (if Tulane wins Saturday), and Dykes if we *lose* Saturday. If we’re 13-0, he should be a slam dunk for the big ones.

I would have liked it a little more if all these awards were after the Big 12 championship game.

I remember the 2007 cowboys having 13 pro bowlers and then later losing in the playoffs to the giants and their 1 pro bowler.
