Beaumont Enterprise: Gaines has high hopes for final season at TCU

ARLINGTON -- Innis Gaines didn’t hesitate when asked how he wants his career at TCU to end.
“I want to finish my career here with a Big 12 championship and a national championship,” the West Brook High School product said Monday during day one of 2019 Big 12 Football Media Days at AT&T Stadium. “That’s my goal, just win as many games as possible, try to get some wins under the belt.”
A senior safety, Gaines, who is about to turn 21, looks to rebound from a 2018 season where he played just six games due to injury. However, the 6-foot-2 defensive back is now healthy, making teammates like wide receiver Jalen Reagor, who Gaines often matches up with in practice, ecstatic.
