BE Coast Bias: WVU Coach Holgorsen is a huge drunk

According to a report by Chuck Landon in the Huntington, WV Harold-Dispatch, the initial report last week that West Virginia head coach in waiting Dana Holgorsen was escorted from a casino by police was not his first brush with the law. The report states that Holgorsen has been involved in as many as six incidents in the public eye that required intervention or action from the police. Landon reports:

He estimated that WVU would go 500 last season and lose to MU by 20+ last season. He hated on WVU for years even during the F4 run two years back.

It is a nice game poster on the WVU scout board play is to guess and see what Chuck will right next. He is the worst journalist i have ever seen, though I have heard that BYU is really bad also in the press clippings

Why would he spell it correctly in the body of the article and misspell the name in the header? The obvious answer is that he did not write the headline. Either that or he is a complete tool.

Yeah, it tells you Stillwater is a s--thole that nobody wants to settle down in.

Guy did a better job than any OC in the nation last season. New QB, brand new OL and no Dez Bryant. OSU was an offensive juggernaut. Holgorsen is just a Scandanavian Mike Leach. Instead of a pirate, he's a Viking. Scary to think what he might be able to accomplish with all those Florida speedsters WVU gets every year.

One of the shows on the Oklahoma City ESPN Radio station was discussing this 'matter' this morning. Apparently the number of times Holgersen has been thrown out of bars since coming to West Virginia is in the double digits. Not only that, he is banned from the bar in the hotel he lives in. Which is another strange aspect to the story. Apparently the guy prefers to live in hotels. He stayed in a hotel the entire year he worked in Stillwater and plans to do the same in West Virginia. They also speculated that West Virginia may let him go now rather than allowing the problem to persist with Holgersen as a head coach.

Based on what I know of WVU, I just assumed this was already the case.
