Dropped three streamers directly over the stadium. Yellow, blue and red. Wind blew them well northeast. Anybody know what that was all about?

That wasn’t a B-17, it was a C-130 or similar cargo plane. Had purple smoke as a contrail.

Yes, OP needs to know his WWII bombers. There were only 5, the B-17, 24, 25, 26 and 29. B-25 and B-26 were twin engined medium bombers, the rest were four engined heavy bombers. B-29 dropped the atomic bombs on Japan.
Test Monday. Man card on suspension until then. If you don't know the difference between a WWII bomber and a current (turboprop) TRANSPORT plane, well, you got some 'splainin' to do.

There actually has been a B-17 flying around Fort Worth all week out of Meacham Airport giving paid flights. This was not the C-130 that flew over ACS last night.

Possibly a C-47 based at Meacham dropped the streamers - they do aerial tours too. Love the sound of twin Wasps thundering over downtown.
