Stephen A. Smith on Florida State's CFP snub: 'Blame no further than TCU'

Story by Reice Shipley

The four participating teams in this year’s College Football Playoff were officially announced on Sunday. Undefeated Florida State was left out of the final four teams, and ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith is seemingly in full support of this decision.

Many media members have already started to take exception to this decision because Florida State has no blemishes on their record this year.

However, some, including Stephen A. Smith, agreed with the decision because Florida State unfortunately lost star quarterback Jordan Travis for the remainder of the season with a significant injury.

You give a loud mouthed egotist a mike and television audience you're going to hear something really stupid from time to time! Just consider the source and move on. If you have a complaint about the make up of the four teams .. whine to the "committee". Stephan .. the Frogs or 2022 had nothing to do with Sunday's decision.

That idiot is paid a total of $12M annually at ESPN to spout that garbage.
The role of contemporary sports media is not to be logical, nor to be right, not even to be timely. It's role is to be read--and in Internet terms that means hits. Big media's job is not to be good, but to generate traffic for sponsors to purchase. Quality may be there, but it's quantity that feeds the bulldog.

Was I supposed to type something here?

Well he does have a point. Can you imagine if rather than Bama, FSU made the playoffs as the #4 seed? And had to play Michigan??

Those talk shows that are on ESPN all day long are just spectacular in how dumb and stupid they are.

I think we should ask @Westsider who/what feeds the Bulldog.

(But I love the phrase)

He counts on people forgetting this, and it makes him look like the fool he is for taking his audience for dopes.

Of course, they're evidently still listening to him, so...
It's hard NOT the hear him at the very least...he's of the media ilk that whomever yells the loudest is right. He and Skip Brainless should host a show together. The wind tunnel created through two empty skulls might cause an implosion in the studio and rid us of TWO blowhard idiots.
