I know I should just ignore the commentary of the TV talking heads, but the way they tend to categorize players, particularly QBs annoys me. My personal perspective: I don't see much difference right now between Andy Dalton as a senior, Robert Griffen last night, and Casey Pachall in his first college game ever. Obviously when you lose a game people aren't going to rave about you, but this first start by Pachall was incredible, maybe the best first start I've ever see. And I'm old. But he's got to keep it up and do it consistently.
They categorized Andy throughout his career as a "game manager" and never mentioned him for post season honors. Now, in retrospect, they rave about him and use his graduation as part of their justification for calling us overrated. As it turns out we're overrated but not for that reason.
