TCU safety duo is highest-graded in country

In today’s world of college football, having a secondary capable of shutting down explosive passing attacks is a must. According to Pro Football Focus, the TCU Horned Frogs are set in the department.
On Monday evening, PFF tweeted out the only safety duo to put up grades of at least 90 in the same season since 2014. That pairing was TCU’s Trevon Moehrig and Ar’Darius Washington.
Moehrig, in his sophomore year with the Horned Frogs, posted 61 total tackles, four interceptions, and 11 passes defended. His other half in the secondary, Washington, posted a whopping five interceptions as a redshirt freshman. He also recorded two passes defended. With both of those players coming back to TCU in 2020, Gary Patterson’s defense will be set with that level of proven talent in the defensive backfield.
