TCU TE Jared Wiley named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week
Jeremy ClarkTCU tight end Jared Wiley was named the Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week following his outstanding performance against Baylor, the conference announced on Monday.
Wiley was phenomenal in the Frogs’ 42-17 win, hauling in a career-high seven receptions for 178 yards with two touchdowns. The 178 yards broke a single game record for TCU tight ends. The total was also the highest by a Big 12 end since 1996.
Wiley’s touchdown catches covered 81 and 28 yards against the Bears. The 81-yard score was the longest of his career, surpassing a 52-yard reception he had while playing for Texas in 2020. Ironically, that reception came against TCU.
