TCU safety Ar'Darius Washington named FWAA Freshman All-American

TCU safety Ar'Darius Washington has been named to the 2019 Football Writers Association of America-Shaun Alexander Freshman All-America Team the school announced on Monday.
It is the second big award for the redshirt freshman out of Shreveport, Louisiana.
Following his impressive 2019 season, Washington earned the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year. Washington had five interceptions in 2019, which ranked second nationally for freshmen this past season. It is the most interceptions by a freshman in TCU head coach Gary Patterson’s 19 seasons as coach for the Frogs.
