TCU OL Steve Avila had little doubt the Frogs could have a successful season
By JEREMY CLARKTCU fifth-year senior offensive lineman Steve Avila is one of the biggest reasons the No. 3 Frogs are facing No. 2 Michigan this Saturday in one of the College Football Playoff semifinals in the VRBO Fiesta Bowl.
Avila has played his fair share of games for the Frogs and even made the move from center to left guard this season. He didn’t disappoint as he didn’t allow a single sack and the awards came flowing in from being named first-team All-Big 12 to making the Walter Camp first-team All-American team. All on top of helping TCU make the playoffs for the first time in program history.
It could’ve been different for Avila.
