TCU OC Garrett Riley knew the offense had potential to be successful early on​

It didn’t take long for TCU offensive coordinator Garrett Riley to realize he had something special on the offensive side of the ball to work with. Coming over from SMU, Riley had produced one of the top offenses in the nation from the Mustangs and he was tasked with improving a Horned Frog offense that hadn’t played extremely well during a 5-7 campaign.

As he saw very quickly, the Frogs had a ton of key parts to work with.

The Frogs returned quarterbacks Max Duggan and Chandler Morris, running back Kendre Miller and one of the top receivers in the nation in Quentin Johnston. Sprinkled in were key returners on the offensive line including All-American Steve Avila and other skill players including Taye Barber, Derius Davis and Emari Demercado.
