TCU Named The Top Team In Texas By CBS Sports

Where is the best college football played in Texas? That answer is Fort Worth, Texas is you believe CBS Sports analyst Barrett Sallee. Sallee named the Horned Frogs as the top collegiate program in Texas, over other programs including the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies.
TCU is coming off an 11-3 season and an appearance in the Big 12 Championship game a year ago. The Frogs defeated Stanford in the Valero Alamo Bowl and finished the season ranked No. 9 in the final AP Poll. Under head coach Gary Patterson, that is the third time out of the past four seasons (2014, 2015, 2017) the Frogs have finished inside the AP Top 10. They are just one of five programs nationally to accomplish that feat over that span of time.
