TCU has landed another player via the transfer portal as Jackson State offensive line transfer Willis Patrick has committed to the Frogs. Sources confirmed the news to HFB on Monday morning.

Not only has Patrick committed to the Frogs, he’s already enrolled and on campus. TCU starts their spring semester on Jan. 17.

Landing the 6-foot-4, 347-pounder is huge for the Frogs’ offensive line as they lose Alan Ali, Steve Avila and Wes Harris. Patrick chose the Frogs over several programs including Colorado and Maryland among others. He will immediately compete for a starting spot on the Frogs’ offensive line and at worst, add quality depth.

Is this kid a project or will he compete for playing time right away?

Couldn’t find any advanced stats, but he wasn’t listed as 1st or 2nd team all-swac

He was 1st Team All Lone Star Conference (LSC) in 2021, while he was still at Angelo State! He transfered to Jackson State for the 2022 season.
Yes, and Jeremy’s story incorrectly stated that in addition to all LSC in 2021 that he was also first team all SWAC at Jackson State in 2022.

Jeremy’s store wasn’t incorrect he was one of two Offensive Linemen that made the All-SWAC team. Willis Patrick and Tyler Brown.
Not according to the SWAC website.
