TCU falls to Oklahoma State, 6-2
Jamie PlunkettTCU felt the other end of a complete game performance on Saturday night, as they fell to Oklahoma State 6-2.
Cowboys starter Brian Holiday pitched a complete game, striking out 14 while allowing two runs on four hits. He carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning, completely bamboozling TCU’s bats with a good four-pitch mix. His curveball was devastating, as he consistently got the Frogs to swing at it out of the zone.
That led to six instances where TCU had an opportunity to run to first after a dropped third strike, with Anthony Silva reaching base in the second inning and five other Frogs being retired.
