12/12 TCU Men's Basketball Update

The TCU Men's Basketball Team had one of the biggest jumps up in real time RPI rankings in the US last night after beating Texas A&M. They jumped 53 spots up to #33 in the US. We have three upcoming non-conference games including a rock trip to a bad Georgetown team. We should be an RPI around #28 and 11-1 right before the Kansas Jayhawks show up in Fort Worth.

The RPI is an outdated metric that the committee doesn’t use anymore. It’s nice to be that highly ranked but it doesn’t mean anything.

The NET is the big metric and we’re ranked 64 which is pretty good. Still plenty of time to get better and, hopefully, make a run to the tournament.

Hey buzz kill... pretty sure that high RPI means that the math says that TCU is pretty good.
