Frogs lost the doubles point again, but also again won five of six first sets in singles. Fearnley and Maxted closed their matches out in straight sets and then Jirousek lost in straight sets so the teams are tied at 2-2. First to 4 wins with three matches still playing.

#1 Ohio State tomorrow at 11 am for all the marbles. It sure would be nice to figure out how to win the doubles point because I will guess that they will likely need it. Maybe juggle the doubles lineup somehow? Rest up Frogs.

Note Coach Roditi stated he is jealous of Columbia‘s facility. I think the tennis fans that posted here last year suggested he would like a new indoor facility at TCU with six courts instead of just the five that they have now; with elevated seating/standing room, room for cameras and a nice scoreboard. Maybe he has earned it - maybe the most successful TCU athletics team, at least in the most recent years.

Maybe TCU is struggling with how to redevelop the tennis/baseball/track area and needs to figure out a comprehensive plan before committing to a location for a new indoor tennis structure. Would hate to mess with the outdoor courts because they have all the very pleasing trees around them, but those 22 courts consume a lot of space and maybe what could be a little bit of critical limiting space because they weren’t squared up with the roads.

Wow. Frogs up 3-2 with matches 5 and 6 going to third sets. Go Jirousek and Maxted. If either wins, we win. If both lose, we lose.
