Texas has something the Pac-12 wants, and it may be what saves TCU | Opinion

BY BIG STEAMING PILE

There is so much anger, and hurt, from the coaches to the administrators from the remaining eight Big 12 schools at Texas and Oklahoma that none of these people are going to get over this for a while.

This was Deception 101, and all of these people who consider themselves colleagues and friends feel betrayed.

Expect both Texas and Oklahoma to each pay the Big 12 $80 million, which allow those schools to break their contract with the league. Expect both to be in the SEC by this time next year.

If the past couple of years has taught us anything, it’s that none of us, especially Big Steaming Pile, have any clue what’s going to happen.

Was I supposed to type something here?
Say Texas Tech and TCU had called the PAC 12 before any Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC announcement; would PAC 12 have listened? Doubt it.
Well, the shoe is on the other foot now, isn't it. Previous calls were more like, "Hey! Why don't you ditch those losers and come join us!" Now we're the ones with 10-gallon-hats in hand...

Still, the idea of a merger makes all kinds of sense. Fort Worth is, after all "Where the West Begins." They want some Central Time Zone kickoffs. Getting in and out is easy with D/FW nearby. As long as rational heads are bent to the purpose of ironing things out, it doesn't seem like we couldn't all come out winners.

Well Fudge!

I read a Muck Face article.

Sad times.

Edit: Bright side women's beach volleyball is on the Olympic Sports Channel.

Could a PAC + B12 merger work with UT and OU? Let WVU walk, boot Baylor, and you have a pretty solid 20 team league that would have to have some earning power with UT, OU, USC, Oregon + The PAC would then have California and TX in its arsenal
