Reminded me Boykin’s first year. Multiple bad snaps. QB running for his life. Getting beat by a 3 man rush...repeatedly. Penalty ridden.

the best play caller in the world can’t overcome an Oline that gets whipped at the line of scrimmage.

big difference is the line in 2012 had a true freshman center who was a d-tackle in high school and two other true freshmen starting in that line

aside from coker this line is a group of guys who have been in this system three plus years. austin is a fifth year senio

You can protect with scheme. Line up with a TE, chip the end, use Ware in the H-Back role to chip as he becomes the release valve, which our RBs did on dang near every pass play, run the ball to wear them out and/or create less obvious passing down situations.

although, they suffer from poor coaching. Everything about their play was an indication of a poorly coached line. Not moving feet, poor set up, poor use of hands to stunt momentum, etc.

Example Andrew Coker, everyone recruited him, should be a total stud, today he had no clue who he was supposed to block. That said like many of our tackles the last few years he will be a high nfl draft pick and play great at the next level
