Pitts and Priddy yesterday-- two fine players from the great 50's era.

TCU has 50 A-A selections from 42 gridders-- Pitts is one of them.

Priddy backed up Jack Spikes, but there was no drop off when he entered the game.

RIP.

Hugh was outstanding and as I recall was a 200 lb center, but back then a 240 lb tackle was huge...
 
Pitts was from Woodville southeast Tx. where my mother was from. One time Kern Tipps said that an opposing running back ran into a "stump" named Hugh Pitts. O the purple memories.
