Big 12 in position to poach Pac 12 schools?

SicEm365/365 Sports compares league contract tv exposure. Spoiler- Big 12 third and the PAC 12 might be in big trouble visibility wise. https://sicem365.com/s/14811/analysis-of-tv-window-options-for-the-pac-12-in-current-negotiations

Is this team better than the 2014 team?

Laughable on some of your points. Baylor was better defensively in 14' and the offense isnt even close for them. WVU was similar but better on O in 22' vs 14 before Trickett went down and was one of the worst defenses nationally in 2022 after being a good defense in 2014. Total package isn't...

Is this team better than the 2014 team?

2014 probably better. QB- Boykin gets the edge. RB- Kendre probably better than 2014. Outside WR- Listenbee edged out by Johnston Outside WR- Doctson over Savion TE- Push Slots- 2022 over 2014 OL - 2014 at most spots CB- 2014 but close S- Tossup LB's - 2014 DE's - 2014, they could also go big...

    Bowls B12 Rules

Only way I see TCU dropping to Alamo is if they lose a beauty pageant with USC who also lost or possibly the Vols if UGA goes down. I still think TCU wins that comparison but for debate's sake... If TCU loses OSU probably gets into the playoff. That either sends PSU or Purdue to the Rose...

    Bowls B12 Rules

It would take a lot of bad dominoes like a rare combo of Utah, Purdue, and LSU win. That possibly gives OSU the playoff spot, sends one of Bama/Vols to the Orange Bowl, making a ranking debate for the final cotton spot between USC, TCU, and an SEC team instead of TCU, PSU, Oregon, LSU, etc...

    Bowls B12 Rules

Sugar Bowl uses either the Big 12 champ or uses the Big 12 standings to replace them. So either TCU is in the playoff and KSU goes Or TCU loses to KSU and Big 12 Champ KSU goes. SEC does it differently and uses highest CFP ranking of remaining options after the Champ. So if LSU wins they go...

OREGON insider says PAC12 leaning towards wanting TCU and -NOT - wanting TTECH and KU

The Tech reaction to that would be hilarious if TCU and Baylor got in over them.

We better not get screwed out of the Texas Bowl

I have two points- 1- If you win all your games you deserve a shot 2- Loose preference for a P5 champ works usually like an autobid but doesn’t tie up spots when a sub-par champ emerges like the ACC and B1G could surprise us with should upsets happen Saturday. Ends up with the best 8 while...

AT&T Uverse drops Pac-13 Networks - Time to seize the opportunity Big 12

It’s dropping what they had before- it was carried in P12 states.

We better not get screwed out of the Texas Bowl

A one loss champ is in under every circumstance I’ve looked at in the last 30 seasons. A one loss P5 runner up would be excluded rarely. 2008 Tech is the only one that comes to mind with 4 P5 champs (OU, UF, USC, PSU) and 2 G5 unbeatens (Utes and Boise) with three one loss runner ups for two...

We better not get screwed out of the Texas Bowl

No, cap it at 8 but don’t give 4 and 5 loss teams a pass in Loosely the same criteria as now but protect G5 unbeatens. Solves virtually every year of the last 30

We better not get screwed out of the Texas Bowl

So “win it on the field” can potentially exclude teams that haven’t lost? Stupid to see a problem coming and not address it. Rose Bowl team was 2010. Fiesta was 09. Fiesta team may have been left out in your model despite winning all its games.

We better not get screwed out of the Texas Bowl

So you’re ok with unbeaten 2009 TCU getting left out of an eight team playoff so two loss teams can get in? Good to know
