TCU fans can choose not to believe, but... The big "whigs" around college football absolutely think OU is on upset watch this weekend at home. Not that it WILL happen, but that TCU is just talented enough to win and OU is just flawed enough to lose. Probably something like a 3-4 in 10 chance for the Frogs.

Early whisper: Watch for the Frogs to open it up through the air early and often... The run will be secondary this weekend. Shhh....

Since OU hasn't beaten anybody by more than a handful of points or so either at home or away, I'd say that they are on a perpetual upset watch until they show they are capable of beating somebody they should badly. As for airing it out...I'd fully expect us to do just that...first, because we saw what OU can do to the run when motivated to do so (2nd half against UT) and because we have a recent history of going against what's working.

OU is on upset alert every single week (except Kansas) with the way they've played this year.

Where are you thinking the new OU QB isn't as good as Rattler? That kid impressed the heck out of me!! He and his talents rallied OU when they were a confused, frustrated team. If I'm not mistaken, that kid when he was recruited, was the no. #1 QB recruit in the country. I look for him to start against TCU and if he does, we'll have our hands full. (will we ever) We'll have our hands full anyway b/c our defense needs LB'rs who can get off blocks and tackle before the RB's get to the second and third levels or just lets know they're in the game.. One spot TCU coach's really need to focus on is getting off blocks so they can 'participate in the defense.' We really need lots and lots of work on technique on defense. Angles, tackling, foot work and so on. Hell fire, let Duggan throw the short wings, bubble, the 8-9-10 yard stuff. You can't win a ball just running the ball, you must have some kind of balance or they will stack the line with 11 men and our RB's won't even get back to the line of scrimmage. BTW for what its worth, that OU QB who replaced Rattler is better than Rattler at this point. If, if- TCU had that kid as QB, then TCU just might contend for the big title, he's that good. Mind you, not until we fill some holes and we play a style of football that enhances the talent on the field!

think it can happen if a couple of things happen. first the offense makes ou's defense stop the run game and not just a play, a series, or a quarter.
pound the heck out of the ball and make them tackle evans and miller plus take a few shots in the passing game.

tulane did it to them, so did texas, and the best thing this tcu teams does is run the ball downhill with those backs. don't panic when ou scores, don't get away from your strengths like texas did and this part is very doable.

the challenge is they have to come up with some stops on the defensive end and i will settle for field goals in the red zone. for that to happen the frogs have to play solid run defense which they have yet to do this year, have bethley pull a willis reed, many the linebackers finally awaken who knows, but they don't have to be dominant
