What drew you to Delton as a transfer?

We didn't seek out Alex, he sought us out. Snyder did not call me. Alex said we would be a place for him since [TCU and KSU] programs are similar. I was very impressed with him when he got to campus, and to be honest he saved us, having an older guy come in because it made a big difference in the Spring. He's really woven himself into our team and helped with its chemistry. He really knows how to prepare for a B12 game and knows how to handle himself.

Delton's transfer has already made the QB position better.

Have you heard anything about Baldwin's transfer... NO [quick answer before he finished asking the question]

With all the coach turnover is the league coming back to you as a defensive guy?

The league is different, it's changing, bigger TEs, but we prepare for all that stuff anyway, plan for one game at a time [drink].

The Round Robin is harder, when you play everyone every year you're not going to surprise anyone. When you have a new coach come in you don't have to prepare anything new, and in that case it makes things easier.

Coach seems really excited to coach against a lot of new guys in the league that he's known for a while.

You don't come to Iowa to recite much, what made you come for Duggan?

We have a better reputation outside of the state, 56% of TCU is non-Texan, some of our best players aren't from Texas, but Duggan is a coach's son and he seemed us out and has a great relationship with Cumbie. We have 5-6 guys that came from places that aren't just neighboring states.

You guys were 27th in the nation Defensively, what does it mean that you need to grow up?

We feel like we have the potential, with a grad transfer and some RS Freshmen that no one knows about, that we think will bee able to grow up quickly;y. Our starting safeties are all over 6' 2" [YES]

We need to develop depth, in this league you need to pressure the QB without blitzing and I think we can do that.

We've been able to play at a high level on the field, a lot of people say we're not a big time program, but those people need to see how many people we have playing in the NFL. What some of y'all need to do is go to FW and walk around our stadium.

Our stadium was already loud, but with the east side expansion it's going to be even louder and I think the fans will love it.

We got new grass in to make us faster at home, because I felt we were faster on turf on the road.

One of the mistakes coaches made, is that you forget about everyone else but that entire east side expansion was funded by younger Frogs and that is a great thing for the future of the school. Everyone wants to be considered a blue blood and that is our goal, and our university is trying to win a national championship.

We still have some guys that aren't fully healthy, but looks like we'll be able to have depth this year if we can keep these guys healthy.
