Yeah, this is real sport.
maybe i am too old to understand the need for hype me, but experience has told me that you don't have to overly sell great events and i watch a number of such "big events" with the sound off so maybe i am too damn old for the sporting world anymore
It’s quite something that Wilder's gotten as far as he has given all his limitations.
Speaks to a weak division, careful match-making and a good right hand.
I could not disagree with you more. Wilder has a really good back story. His boxing persona is different from his outside the right personality.Hoping Fury puts an end to Wilder.
There are lots of people, like myself, who don't give a [ Finebaum ] about boxing, who are looking forward to this fight.Looks like you are the only one on here who feels that way. I don't see anyone else showing any interest.

This shows what a racket UFC has going on with what they pay their fighters. It's good for the fans in the sense that only having one organization ensures that the promoter can put the best fights on, but man of fighters get screwed hard.
Kevin Iole said:ABC is going to show Saturday’s fighter arrivals on tape during the broadcast of the Milwaukee Bucks-Philadelphia 76ers game. And on “SportsCenter,” they plan to show the ring walks of both Fury and Wilder live, which might entice a few last minute buyers.
Kevin Iole said:There are less than a thousand tickets remaining and the paid gate is on track to surpass the record for a heavyweight fight in the U.S. which is currently held by Lennox Lewis-Evander Holyfield 2 on Nov. 13, 1999 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Kevin Iole said:Promoter Bob Arum is a master of hyperbole, but he is convinced it will exceed two million.
“If we were in the old days when HBO and Showtime were doing [the pay-per-views], it would have been crazy to say a fight like this could do two million,” Arum said. “But because of Fox and ESPN and what I knew they were planning to do to promote the fight, I always believed we had a shot to equal or exceed two million buys. I’m more confident than ever now that we will surpass two million.”
Kevin Iole said:Wilder remains a slight favorite, at -130, at the MGM Grand Sports Book. Fury is at +110.
They’re criminally underpaid and need to unionize. The players in the 3 major sports get between 40-50% of the revenue. UFC fighters get less than 10%.
I’m pumped for the Wilder/Fury fight. Clash of styles. Those saying that Wilder is nothing but a “good right hand” are way off. It isn’t just a good right hand. It’s been measured as one of the most powerful in boxing history, and is probably pound for pound the most powerful since he’s small for a heavyweight.
