Man we really needed SMU to not lose games like this to help our SOS.
Instead they lay a 45-20 egg at home against a Houston team that not only lost to Rice last week, but is down to their 4th string QB a true freshman. SMU was never competitive and Houston's QB looked as well or better than Dalton did against SMU.
Was it the 2+ hour weather delay, or what? SMU did outgain Houston but the 3 turnovers and special teams errors looked to have killed them.
We need SMU to win badly for our SOS and losing to teams they shouldn't hurts. Though I do expect them to win each game from here on out until the finale against East Carolina, I don't think 7-5(or 8-5/7-6 should they make the CUSA title game) will cut it.
