I played a little league game once around 8 years old and the ump called strikes on pitches that bounced on the plate. As if it was a men's church softball league. Every pitch that hit the plate was a strike.

My dad was coach and eventually moved us up in front of the batter's box to hit the ball. It was unreal. There are some clowns in blue on baseball diamonds.

I've seen an umpire give a batter four strikes (cost us a playoff game when the batter hit the 2-3 pitch for a double) but the worst was the umpire who called a ball when our batter swung and missed. She turned to him and said "I swung"!
