One of my favorite golf memories was way back in 1968 when a guy from the room next to mine in Clark Hall managed through his dad (a federal judge in Baton Rouge) for us to play a round at Shady Oaks CC. As we finished the round on the 18th green, we looked at the rotunda which housed the 19th hole and saw Mr. Hogan sipping on a drink watching the action on the course. So, I can honestly say Ben Hogan watched me play golf! Turnabout since I had watched him play at the Colonial NIT for years.

It happens all the time. You walk into a room looking for an item and you don't see it. You look again, then see it as your wife says, it's on the table right before you. If you didn't have that information, you might never have seen it. I have seen dozens of times when a coach walks into a room and can't see a/the kid. So a suggestion is sometimes a good thing for a coach. Watch out, coach, you might miss an all-American sitting on the table.
