The Cedar Rapids Gazette: Iowa State breaks into AP Top 25, looking to improve for TCU

AMES — Iowa State was receiving Top 25 votes ever since it beat Oklahoma on the road two weeks ago.
Now, for the first time since 2005, the Cyclones are ranked in the Associated Press poll.
Iowa State was ranked No. 25 in Sunday’s AP Poll. The Cyclones remain unranked in the coaches poll, but they did receive 32 votes (good for 27th).
Iowa State is 5-2 overall and tied for second in the Big 12 with a 3-1 conference record.
