SAN DIEGO STATE: Ronnie Hillman ran for 151 yards and a touchdown as he helped lead the Aztecs to a 24-19 win over the Colorado State Rams in Mountain West Conference action at Qualcomm Stadium on Saturday night. Hillman, who surpassed 1,000 rushing yards on the season, became just the third freshman in SDSU history to reach that plateau following Marshall Faulk (1991) and Lionel Hamilton (1994). Quarterback Ryan Lindley completed 14-of-23 passes for 171 yards and a score, but he was also picked off twice in the meeting. The win for the Aztecs was just the second at home against Colorado State since 1993 and the current four-game win streak for the squad is the longest since 1998, the team's 7-2 record matching the squad's best in the last 33 seasons as well. Now with 11 victories since Brady Hoke took over as head coach, the team has matched the number of wins they had in the 39 games prior to his arrival. The final road game of the season takes place for the Aztecs this weekend as they make the trip to Texas to clash with mighty TCU. Last year, SDSU hosted the Horned Frogs and was dominated in a 55-12 final. After five battles between the two schools, the Aztecs have yet to take down TCU on the gridiron.

TCU: What was supposed to be the showdown of the day turned out to be a blowout win for the Horned Frogs as they demolished sixth-ranked Utah, 47-7, on the road in Salt Lake City. Ranked fourth in the nation heading into the meeting, the Frogs now find themselves third in the AP poll behind Oregon and Auburn after jumping over Boise State which defeated Hawaii by a 42-7 score at home. Andy Dalton finished the afternoon 21-of-26 passing for 355 yards and three touchdowns, one of those a 93-yard strike to Josh Boyce in the first quarter. Boyce finished with three catches for a game-high 126 yards and two TDs while the running attack for the Frogs played a secondary role with 177 yards and two scores on 45 attempts. The top defense in the nation held the Utes to a mere 199 total yards. The final home game of the season is on the schedule for the Horned Frogs, slated third in the most recent BCS rankings this weekend as they challenge the San Diego State Aztecs in Fort Worth. Last season TCU crushed SDSU in a 55-12 final out in California, which means the Frogs now own a perfect 5-0 record in the series.
