Sporting News: Oklahoma State, TCU face clash of styles in Big 12's first season-defining game

STILLWATER, Okla. — TCU coach Gary Patterson doesn’t see his Horned Frogs having the upper hand in their Big 12 opener against No. 6 Oklahoma State on Saturday.
“The only advantage that we have over Oklahoma State going into the ballgame,” Patterson said, “is that we’ve had to be in two battles and basically they’ve had only to play until halftime.”
True enough, No. 16 TCU (3-0) has been tested this season: The Horned Frogs held a slim 14-7 lead over Arkansas on Sept. 9 before scoring twice in the final minutes in a 28-7 victory. Last week in Fort Worth, TCU fell behind SMU 19-7 and led 35-29 going into the fourth quarter. They relied on 21 fourth-quarter points to come away with a 56-36 win.
