LT was a runner up too.. Max has not only taken TCU, but the only Texas school to a College Championship playoff that no other Texas school has achieved… that alone is deserving. 15 is a sacred number now.

I think if you wanted to honor the number rather than retiring it you could honor it as some schools do with certain numbers and select a specific player who shows the same qualities as Max has displayed the last 4 years and let them wear it

I like that we only have 3. And honestly that has only been last 20 years or so.. we had a bunch of 8 and 45 until LT. But when 5 became off limits, so did 8 and 45. And 74 should be on the list too.

I love everything about Max. If we were to win out and he drove it like all year? Absolutely. If not, he is Andy. A TCU legend but retired numbers should be very rare air.

I don’t like retiring numbers. It is then a number you don’t see anymore and players that may really like that number can’t wear it. I would rather see the number on the field again, that might be more honorary versus it mostly being out of mind. You honor the player in the TCU Hall of Fame and can also still stamp his name and number on the stadium.

I wish we had a ring of honor instead of logos of the bowl games we have been to. Replace those with names of the greats. Don't have to retire the number but at least honor them.
