Does anyone actually think the "Ike Dike" will be built? It is nothing more than a problem that will be studied, at great expense, for decades to come. Besides, Harris County will suck all the money out of whatever funds are allocated...Ike dyke is still in the plans and does have a wall by the bridge. I'm on the dirty side of 146 so I'm going to be making a tough decision in a year or two.
Funny the things you worry about at different ages. In high school hurricanes meant big surf and a chance to actually ride something decent (except it meant paddling through slop to get outside for about a half mile), now one of the few things I really don’t miss about Texas…Ike dyke is still in the plans and does have a wall by the bridge.
