Nah, it's just that there are more famous people than ever.Seems like an inordinate number of prominent people passing away the last few weeks.
Have you NEVER been mellow?"Have you ever been mellow?"
A sweet woman, and attractive too!
What's up, Doc? (I just saw that Streisand film on Sunday and couldn't resist.)Have you NEVER been mellow?
Never was a fan of the grammar of that song. Loved ONJ, though.
I always thought “ever” would have been the better word choice, so was not trying to make you look stupid. I was mainly pointing out that I didn’t care for the actual lyric in a grammatical sense. What's up, Doc? (I just saw that Streisand film on Sunday and couldn't resist.)
Thanks for the correction (and making me look a bit stupid at the same time.)
lyrics:
There was a time
When I was in a hurry as you are
I was like you
There was a day
When I just had to tell my point of view
I was like you
Now I don't mean to make you frown
No, I just want you to slow down
Have you never been mellow?
Have you never tried
To find a comfort from inside you?
Have you never been happy
Just to hear your song?
Have you never let someone else be strong?
Running around as you do
With your head up in the clouds
I was like you
Never had time to lay back
Kick your shoes off, close your eyes
I was like you
Now you're not hard to understand
You need someone to take your hand, hey
Have you never been mellow?
Have you never tried
To find a comfort from inside you?
Have you never been happy
Just to hear your song?
Have you never let someone else be strong?
Maybe it was her Aussie accent and "never" sounded like "ever."
It's more likely that I'm just a dummy. All in good fun!
This news is a real loss to us "kids" of the '70s.
We're cool, good man. Keep postin'.I always thought “ever” would have been the better word choice, so was not trying to make you look stupid. I was mainly pointing out that I didn’t care for the actual lyric in a grammatical sense.
