So you go to Vegas and are either eating or watching others eat?Well, I don’t gamble much, so I gotta have something to do when I’m not the one in there eating.

Their steak is pretty damn good too.Gross. Highly overrated is an understatement. Unless you like a chewy, soggy piece of subpar meat.
If you’re going to drive west for a chicken fried steak, drive past that dump til you get to The Beehive in Albany.
Co-sign on Hall's in Charleston. Maybe the best meal I have ever eaten. Bone-in ribeye to die for.And since I’ve gone on a steakhouse rant, I figured I’d share my favorite steakhouse experience I’ve ever had:
Hall’s Chophouse in Charleston, SC. All around incredible experience, but the steak was simply on another level.
Will be back Charleston next month for a wedding and can’t wait to go back.

Have you been to Waco? Specifically, the area near the Omni?Yountville May be the best collection of outstanding restaurants in the smallest area anywhere.
Best steak I’ve ever had was 10 years ago at Bally’s Steakhouse, of all places. I understand it closed 5 or 6 years ago and Bally’s Casino allowed an outside restaurant to occupy that space.
Suggestions for Napa and Yountville? We’re going in a couple of weeks. In the US, I’d go with NYC, Vegas and San Fran/Napa/Yountville. DC is also good if you include northern virginia. My family in Oregon swear by Portland (and to a lesser extent, Seattle), both of which I’ll be checking out later this year. My personal favorites are Santa Fe and New Orleans, though both are slipping, and kinda fast.
Now cue TCUownstheBig12 to discuss Chicago.

I third the Ad Hoc rec. I would add Farmstead in Saint Helena as well. Both are fanfeakingtastic.Suggestions for Napa and Yountville? We’re going in a couple of weeks.
I have a good French Laundry story to tell you sometime. Too long to type out. Because lazy.Ad Hoc and Rutherford Grill come to mind.
Plan A is to beat up somebody and steal their reservation to French Laundry. Plan B is the same as Plan A, but with more remorse.
Agree on both Gott's and Farmstead.I third the Ad Hoc rec. I would add Farmstead in Saint Helena as well. Both are fanfeakingtastic.
Also if you need a quick meal stop by Gott’s Roadside. The burgers are great. The tuna poke tacos are killer.
