Some on here think the MWC could become an autobid conference, but the MWC is quickly becoming inferior to Conference USA.
MWC failures:
1. Boise is losing Kellen Moore and may not be able to continue their recent football success. Even if Boise does well in football, they bring nothing else.
2. Added Nevada - a horrible addition. Nevada is WEAK at football. They got KILLED by Oregon and barely beat a bottom WAC team last week.
3. Added Fresno - another poor addition to round out the bottom of the MWC. They got beat bad by Cal and Nebraska already this year. They barely survived against North Dakota. Adding WAC teams doesn't help!
4. Air Force is not improving. If anything, they are becoming easier to beat each year.
5. Utah and BYU were the only good teams in the MWC.
6. Most MWC teams are bottom feeders.
7. Away games are difficult to attend for TCU fans
8. UNLV, UNM, etc. fans are non-existent. Games are empty, even when playing good teams like TCU they bring no one.
9. No history with schools here.
Conf USA Benefits:
1. SMU and UH have been boosting their football abilities.
2. East Carolina has been making recent strides. They almost beat Virginia Tech last week, and they've had some good years recently.
3. UCF recently spanked Boston College, and they have been rumored as a possible Big East expansion.
4. Better basketball
5. Better baseball
6. Regional games allow more TCU fans to travel to away games.
7. More fans attend games.
8. More history with present teams.
Take-away points:
1. If the Big East needs new members/merger, they should look to Conference USA/military academies.
2. If the [Craig James] hits the fan, we should look to Conference USA before going back to the MWC. The MWC is dead.
