SAN DIEGO — Whatever success Louisiana Tech or TCU managed Wednesday night, they each had all the answers for one another — until the final five minutes of play.
TCU quarterback Casey Pachall found receiver Skye Dawson for a 42-yard score and a 31-24 advantage with 4:26 remaining, and for the first time in the game, the Bulldogs had no rebuttal. TCU hung to win the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl by that 31-24 margin.
Louisiana Tech went three-and-out and mustered just three yards on its ensuing possession, punted the ball away and never regained control of it. ...
