SAN DIEGO — Louisiana Tech's more than 1,500-mile trip from Joe Aillet Stadium served as somewhat of a homecoming for of its players.Junior quarterback Colby Cameron, a Newbury Park, Calif., native, smiled both Saturday and Sunday and asked reporters how they liked the weather.
"It's just a cool experience," he said. "It makes it easy for our families, because being out (in Ruston), it's hard to travel, so we're just happy that we're able to play close to home where everybody can come see us."
Senior receiver Taulib Ikharo talked briefly during practice at the University of San Diego to a former Laney Community College teammate who wanted to see the Berkeley, Calif., native and his current team. ...
