LA Daily News: TCU quarterback Dalton goes from overlooked to front-runner

PASADENA - Andy Dalton for mayor.
That seemingly was the only honor TCU coach Gary Patterson didn't bestow upon the heralded quarterback after Dalton's performance in the Horned Frogs' 21-19 win over Wisconsin in the 97th Rose Bowl Game earned him offensive MVP honors Saturday.
"He's my Heisman candidate. He's my Davey O'Brien candidate," Patterson said. "He's all of that because that's what he means to TCU and that's what he means to Fort Worth."
Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema all but agreed.
"He didn't disappoint the TCU fans tonight," Bielema said dejectedly. "He's a very, very good quarterback." ...
