Can Robinson play safety or WR? Maybe use him like Denard Robinson was at Michigan? If Collins sucks then we need to get more creative. Robinson has athletic ability.

Giving up a couple big plays on defense isn't that big of a deal imo.

What CANNOT happen is to have a receiver running straight down the middle and no defender within 30 yards of him. As good as the defense was, that play was totally inexcusable just like the 3rd and 25 play against Iowa St. Making it even more frustrating is the fact that we just stopped them on 3rd down a couple plays earlier but got called for holding to continue the drive.

Still, though, it shouldn't have mattered. No excuse for scoring only 14 points against that garbage defense. Unfortunately, we're in a position where we will probably have to win games with the defense so these one or two big mistakes that the defense seems to make every game are going to have to be eliminated for us to win many more games.

We are screwed in so many ways when Coach P decides to leave.

Defense was always something we could lean on and was consistent for the most part.

Serious Reach but GP has the look in his eye of a guy who doesn’t want to do this much longer..He still passionate and a genius defensive mind but his lack of give a [ Finebaum ] for all phases of the game is showing. His last two OC hires have been giving complete autonomy and it’s blowing up in him...

The reason S.R. is under constant pressure is because he is so indecisive on the quick hitting plays that are designed to back off the opposition’s blitz. Starting with the game against an Ohio Team he has not shown the ability to make quick reads and deliver the ball. Defenses are baiting him into mistake after mistake......a perfect example is his backwards pass fumble that we see every game!! The kid can’t make basic plays with any consistency. If he could our opponent’s defense would be burned and forced to back off.

Keep this in mind when we’re referencing GP’s demeanor.

I really liked the five yard punts in the fourth quarter. The play call on fourth and 1. We tried to give Tech 10 turovers but still have them four or five. We suck it is hard to watch. They showed recruits just staring blank stares at our ineptness. We carry the ball in wrong side, don’t have four points of pressure no wonder we fumble all the time. We will lose recruits over this shiiittte show.

Plenty of playing time!

You guys criticize GP after a loss when you think he doesn't take enough responsibility. You criticize him after a loss when he takes responsibility but doesn't do it in exactly the way you want him to.

I think the moral of the story is that it really doesn't matter what a coach says when his team plays poorly. You're not going to be happy about it. It's either "say something else" or "stop talking about it and fix it."

If your QB is sucking and can't hold on to the ball in critical situations you put in the back up just to see if he can provide a spark. That might lite a fire in Robinsons arse. What would it hurt? He couldn't do any worse than Robinson has done and he might hold on to the ball better but, we'll never know because the coaches don't have the balls to put him in!

"That might light a fire" Yep. Notice last night when Collins put on his helmet and was standing next to Robinson with coach how good he looked when he went back in. Maybe thinking Collins was headed to the field?...Scoring drive! They did go to the hurry up though.

Gary very well may have had his mind on something else this week, so there's that. However, the defense played well enough to win, the offense and special teams did not.

I have harped on special teams for years and years. I just don't get why we won't hire a wiz bang special teams coach. It can make or break you on so many games. We do have some great athletes who have been good at returning punts or kick-offs, but so often we set ourselves up in bad field position by not downing the ball in the endzone. We are missing makeable field goals and shanking punts. This wears me out as much as our offense.

Anderson usually hits the hole hard or is quick to find his own way through/around the scrum at the line. And he usually gets rewarded with good yardage.

It's Olonilua who is sometimes too in love with the backfield dance, which only allows any quick-reacting defense to immediately close and seal. Yes, there have been games when he danced like Swayze and still ran wild against a team with a slow defense or a weak DL. But he has seldom consistently racked up impressive yards against better defenses, even when Anderson managed to.

Take some good advice, Sewo. Forget the dance. Just explode through the hole. If there is no hold, explode through whatever daylight you can find -- just always go forward, not east-west. You'll be surprised at how much better are the results you get.

When he goes to the pros and he will go to pros, those coach's will eat his lunch in two seconds. Speed guys always want to run sideways!

WHERE is Anderson, our most talented RB? Is he in the dog house?
