I was introduced to Mr. David O'Brien at the first Frog football game I ever attended vs SMU in 1967. I was 11 years old and will never forget it.

Used to see him at TCU games, always seemed to be alone. He was very humble and great to talk to.
A true gentleman, and what a player. We have his statue to always remember him by. God bless Davey.

His answer was: " That damn bunch of freshmen we had to scrimmage against every week".

That bunch had three future first team A-A's-- Davey, Ki Aldrich and I.B.Hale.
