Should have taken off the jersey and made Dr Williams examine it before heading to 1B
Yep and only left 1 on base! Yea! 7 for the gameAt least we got one.
5-2
Too bad the baseball coaches don't get a certain number of "strikes" when it comes to umpire selection before a game, like lawyers get when picking a jury.Should have taken off the jersey and made Dr Williams examine it before heading to 1B
To the CF???? That ball was scorched up the middle and there’s no way you risk getting thrown out at 3rd although we’ve done that a lot over the years.Should be 5-3 at best.
Still don't know why Boyers didn't go first to third on the single past the second baseman.
A few years ago I went back to see results with Williams behind the plate (and one other ump that I can’t recall but called a lot of midweek games). Williams is from College StationToo bad the baseball coaches don't get a certain number of "strikes" when it comes to umpire selection before a game, like lawyers get when picking a jury.
Look to me like he slowed up on the grounder for some reason. When you are down 5-1 sometimes the issue needs to be pressed. To the CF???? That ball was scorched up the middle and there’s no way you risk getting thrown out at 3rd although we’ve done that a lot over the years.
Maybe so but I never once felt like he’d take 3rd unless the CF was greatly shaded left. Still….we have four hits in a TBD game. UglyLook to me like he slowed up on the grounder for some reason. When you are down 5-1 sometimes the issue needs to be pressed.
He did. Was borderline at the top of the boxDid Davis not run into his bunt?
6 line outs on the official book to this point and that doesn’t include Sacco’s torched FC in the 1st. Two innings of line outs through 7 is tough.Nunez and Taylor couldn't hit the ball much harder.
I know it is contrary to our offensive scheme, but with them shifted all the way around to the right, a bunt down the 3rd base line would be pretty effective.Nunez and Taylor couldn't hit the ball much harder.
