8 walks and 1 HBP in 6 innings. Don’t we look at these kids pitch before we offer? The teams we play don’t have this many freebies. Coach now ejected. I would say we are lucky to still be ahead. But, will it last?

You understand that Saarloos was ejected because of a bad HBP call and the home plate umpire was plain awful.

Talked to the UTA catcher before his last at bat. I said "this umpire has no clue where his strike zone is does he?"

He said "no comment" then shook his head.

You talk to the OU kid about his pencil bat?
No I didn't. Talked to Pettis (No relation to Gary) and Spikerman. Told him nice move when he waited at second base after Brunson had robbed an extra base hit from him and then gave Brunson an acknowledgement of a nice catch.

Asked OU's third baseman, a Washington transfer, if he knew Michael Pennix, he said he's a great guy and a great QB.
