WACO, Texas — Benjamin Kirbo's pole vault win highlighted a strong first day for TCU at the Michael Johnson Invitational on Friday.

Kirbo shattered his personal best with his winning height of 5.40m (17-8.50). Not only is it the new outdoor school record, his mark also ties him for No. 12 in the nation this season.

Iyana Gray won the women's 200m with her time of 23.11 (2.1w). Teanna Harlin (23.75) added a top 10 finish as well as she tied for seventh.

The Morris twins shined in the 1500m. Gracie Morris' time of 4:18.88 was good for first while Graydon Morris won on the men's side with his time of 3:49.70. Ryan Martin (3:50.18) finished second.
